Larry Begins by installing the ledger to the frame of the home for the new deck. Bob talks to the contractor regarding the types of nails chosen, hot dipped galvanized for exterior usage on the deck were chosen for their strength and corrosion resistance. Bob next talks about the natural crowning of wood and which way to install it on your deck to insure a level surface. Larry Landers then gives a tip on joist hangers to insure a tight fit and then installs a gusset to support the roof load of the deck.
